DR PAUL RICKARD-FORD

Senior Lecturer and Chair of Piano Unit

After completing his BMus at the Melbourne Conservatorium, Paul Rickard-Ford was awarded the Clarke Scholarship to undertake postgraduate studies at the Royal College of Music, London where he gained the ARCM and the Dannreuther Prize for the most outstanding concerto performance.

He has won many major competitions and awards in Australia, including Commonwealth winner of the 1983 ABC’s Instrumental & Vocal Competition, and in 1984 was invited to perform before HRH the Duchess of Kent in a recital at the residence of the American Ambassador in London. He returned to Australia in 1985 to undertake performing engagements with the ABC and returned to the UK for further study in 1986 as the inaugural David Paul Landa Memorial Scholar. In 1988 he received an “Australia Achiever” award for his achievements in music and was presented with the award by the Prime Minister at a special reception in Sydney during the Bicentennial celebrations.

 

Dr Paul Rickard-Ford 保罗理查福德博士：悉尼音乐学院钢琴系系主任，著名钢琴演奏家，教育家。录制了李斯特全集，多次在各国主办音乐会，在中国的中央音乐学院，上海音乐学院也多次获邀讲学并开独奏音乐会。

 

 

 

 

 

MR GERARDUS WILLEMS

Associate Professor in Piano

Gerard Willems was born in 1946 in Holland. He toured as chorister throughout Holland, Belgium and France whilst he received his first piano lessons on scholarship at the Brabant Conservatorium. He moved to Australia with his family in 1958 and on graduating from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music he returned to Europe. He continued his piano studies and conducting studies in Amsterdam and Munich, where he studied amongst others with the pedagogue Greville Rothon, the assistant to Claudio Arrau. Presently Gerard Willems is Associate Professor in Piano at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. In 2008 he held a position for six months as Guest Professor at the Hochschule fur Musik Freiburg, Germany.

Gerard Willems teaches and gives masterclasses worldwide and is invited to be on juries of national and international piano competitions. He is regarded as a specialist in the first Viennese school. In 2012 he was appointed Artistic Director of the Southern Highland International Piano Competition and decorated with an AM for services to the arts as a concert pianist, educator and mentor to young musicians.

Ms Julie SIMONDS

Pianist, composer, arranger & presenter

Current Julie is the Special Project Manager of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. From 1994 to 2005, Julie was Music Editor for Symphony Australia – the Federal body for the six State orchestras. She is the President of the Fellowship of Australian Composers, a Full Writer Member of the Australasian Performing Rights Association, a Represented Composer with the Australian Music Centre, an Honorary Life Member of the Music Arrangers Guild of Australia, Jazz & Classical Consultant at Music Sales, radio presenter at 2MBS FM and board member (2002-2006), Convenor of the Young Composer of the Year – Willoughby Symphony Orchestra/2MBS FM, and Member of CHAOS(Conservatorium High Association of Old Students). 

Ms Julie Simond 朱莉西蒙女士：悉尼音乐学院特殊项目经理，钢琴家，作曲家及编曲家。她曾为多部好莱坞大片编曲，代表作“快乐的企鹅”（Happy Feet）, 同时她又是一位著名的音乐电台主持人及编导，近年来，也改编了一批中国乐曲，如“二泉映月”“春节序曲”等。

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

MR LEWIS CORNWELL

Deputy Chair in Musicology Unit; Lecturer in Musicology

Lewis Cornwell is an experienced theory teacher and composer with research interests in the area of 20th century Japanese composers. A graduate of the University of Sydney, he studied composition in the Department of Music with Peter Sculthorpe. He began tutoring in harmony in 1982, both in the Music Department and at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, gaining a full-time position at the Conservatorium in 1989, where he served as chair of musicology from 2002-2004 and 2006-2010, and associate dean (ICT/eLearning) from 2004-2006. His interest in studying and composing new music for traditional Japanese instruments has led to performances of his works in Japan and Europe. In January 1997, Interweave, for sh? and guitar, received its first performance at the 18th Festival and Conference of the Asian Composers' League in Manila. Lewis was a co-organiser of the Takemitsu Symposium and Tribute Concert, which was held at the University of Sydney in 1998.

民乐组评委：

刘莹女士：原沈阳音乐学院民乐系毕业，悉尼著名二胡演奏家，音乐学家。现悉尼音乐学院音乐学研究专业，其论文多次发表在国际学术刊物上，曾多次在悉尼歌剧院，维也纳大学，悉尼音乐学院，新西兰奥塔歌大学举行音乐会及演讲。

 

 

 

刘璐女士：原沈阳音乐学院民乐系毕业，悉尼著名琵琶演奏家，教育家。现于悉尼音乐学院攻读博士学位，多次发表论文，在韩国，北京，悉尼多次举行音乐会。现为青莲乐府（刘璐音乐学校）校长。

 

 

胡磊女士：原中国音乐学院毕业，悉尼著名扬琴演奏家，   教育家。悉尼“中国风乐坊”创始人。桃李满天下，多次为世界政要表演。

 

 

 

 

 

胡卫刚先生：原中国音乐学院毕业，悉尼著名唢呐演奏家，教育家。在中国期间，曾多次获民乐比赛大奖，为多部电影电视剧录音，代表作“武松”。在澳洲期间，多次大学讲课，传授中国文化及音乐，并多次举办音乐会。

 

Mr Tony Wheeler 安东尼先生：澳洲著名作曲家，音乐家和教育家。毕业于澳大利亚昆士兰音乐学院作曲系，管弦系，主修作曲和单簧管。1985年就读于上海音乐学院从师何占豪主修中国作曲，并同时学习中国乐器中阮和古琴。1990年曾在在香港中文大学任教。是一位不可多得的精通中国音乐文化语言的专家。

 

 

 

 

声乐组评委：

刘铁军先生：悉尼著名的男高音歌唱家，毕业于北京广播学院（现中国传媒大学）艺术系。毕业后，刘铁军先后在中国广播艺术团合唱团、电声乐团，担任男高音歌唱演员及团长助理。他也是中国音乐家协会会员。1990年移居澳洲。20多年来，先后在各种大型演出中担任独唱、重唱及领唱。多次担任声乐比赛评委。

 

 

 

曦阳先生：悉尼著名男高音歌唱家，原东方歌舞团男高音。移民澳洲后，一直活跃在悉尼的大小舞台上，并多次担当声乐比赛评委。

孙晓梅女士：原中央音乐学院声乐系毕业，悉尼著名女高音歌唱家。多次在悉尼歌剧院等重要场合开音乐会，并多次担当声乐比赛评委。

Marie-Clarie 女士：澳大利亚歌剧院著名歌剧导师，法国歌剧专家。

高婷婷女士：原沈阳音乐学院现代音乐系毕业，国内各项比赛多次获奖。现为悉尼著名歌星，舞台表演经验丰富，多次担当声乐比赛选秀活动评委。

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

舞蹈组评委：

Ms Helen Taylor 海伦泰勒女士：从小在英国受专业巴黎训练，曾在德国卢塞恩和瑞士芭蕾舞台担任领舞后为编舞。现为悉尼北桥芭蕾舞学校校长，澳洲芭蕾考级官。

 

 

 

 

陈净女士：悉尼陈净舞蹈学校校长：舞蹈教育家、优秀的舞蹈演员和舞蹈编导。创立陈净舞蹈学校于2007年，陈净老师从12岁起进入全日制舞蹈学校学习芭蕾、和中国舞。毕业于云南省艺校、云南艺术学院，原为昆明军区国防歌舞团优秀独舞演员,后在北京中国艺术研究院研究生部学习舞蹈教育，取得舞蹈硕士文凭，并获政府基金到巴黎国际艺术城进修芭蕾和现代舞，还曾应邀两次赴美国做艺术交流。原是北京舞蹈学院及中国舞蹈家协会的资质舞蹈考级导师，现为澳洲联邦等级芭蕾和现代舞注册教师。

 

Ms Emma Bush 艾玛布什女士：从小在悉尼受专业舞蹈培训，后在法国，日本多家舞蹈团担任领舞，在悉尼奥林匹克开幕式上表演，是爵士舞，现代舞和芭蕾舞的注册教师。

 

郑莉莉女士：澳大利亚东方歌舞团团长，2006年创建澳大利亚东方歌舞团。从事舞蹈专业30多年，汇聚一大批优秀的舞蹈演员，以传承中华民族优秀传统舞蹈为基础，融合西方现代文化的表现形式，博采众长，创作编排出大批风格形式多样、很有艺术观赏性的中国和世界各民族的歌舞。

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

鲁川女士：悉尼鲁川芭蕾舞学校校长。毕业于北京舞蹈学院原上海芭蕾舞团主要演员。鲁川是一位来自中国的专业演员。她最特别之处是集英国皇家芭蕾舞体系和俄罗斯芭蕾舞体系于一身的优秀芭蕾舞独舞演员，并多次获奖。她在早年已从事芭蕾舞的教学工作，具有相当丰富的教学经验。2005年成功地被提升为英国皇家舞蹈学院的首位大陆背景华裔国际考官。为华裔芭蕾舞教育在国际领域中而崭入头角。2003年创办悉尼鲁川芭蕾舞学校，是一所以教授英皇芭蕾舞的舞蹈学校。现为悉尼鲁川芭蕾舞学校校长
